Granulomatous uveitis in neurological disease.

چکیده
Five women with granulomatous uveitis were diagnosed as having probable multiple sclerosis. Three of the women developed curious iris nodules that resolved with topical prednisolone acetate treatment. The association of granulomatous type uveitis, with or without iris nodules, should alert the ophthalmologist to inquire about neurological symptoms attributable to multiple sclerosis.

PURPOSE To compare the morphologic features of keratic precipitates (KPs) by confocal microscopy in granulomatous versus nongranulomatous noninfectious uveitis. METHODS KP morphology was determined by confocal scan in patients with noninfectious granulomatous and noninfectious nongranulomatous uveitic cases. RESULTS One hundred and twenty-seven eyes of 90 subjects with noninfectious uveitis...
متن کاملnon-granulomatous uveitis
Histopathological and immunological investigations have been performed in 16 cases of post-traumatic granulomatous (10) and non-granulomatous uveitis (6). Most cases of sympathetic ophthalmitis showed evidence of cell mediated immunity to uveoretinal antigens, though it was not possible to make a definitive diagnosis on immunological grounds alone. Three patients with post-traumatic non-granulo...
متن کاملHyperfluorescent dots in the ciliary body band in patients with granulomatous uveitis.
Fluorescein gonioangiography was performed in 4 eyes of 4 patients with ocular sarcoidosis and in an eye of a patient with presumptive tuberculous anterior uveitis. Small discrete whitish lesions in the ciliary body band near the iris root showed hyperfluorescent shortly after fluorescein injection. These hyperfluorescence dots seemed to be pathognomonic changes in cases with granulomatous uvei...
